c/o Mr. Coakley,
Skibbereen,
3rd January 1910.
Gentlemen,
I have been examined by the doctor who failed me owing to my heart being slightly defective; I an
otherwise bodily fit and willing to go to Hong Kong to resume my duties in the Police Force at my own risk and cost, or any of the colonies. I have a very good character and had no sickness during my time in the Colony of Hong Kong. I hope you will be able to approve of my offer as I am a young man and would prefer to be living abroad.
I arrived in London on 27 September 1909 by
s.s. Mongolia and Caledonia.
CA.
I am also a single man.
(SD) DO GLAS FOLEY.
